Codex Documents is a fully featured in-game document system for RedM servers, designed to support immersive roleplay for law enforcement, medical staff, and other job-based roles.

Players can receive, view, carry, and show official documents directly in-game through a clean and immersive UI.

🧠 How it works

Documents are based on templates (for example: Police Reports, Medical Clearances, Permits).
Authorized players can issue these documents to a specific character ID.

Once issued, the document:

• Is permanently stored in the database

• Belongs to the target character

• Can be viewed from the Documents UI or via an inventory item

• Can be shown to nearby players for roleplay interactions

👮 Job & Permission System

Access is fully controlled by job and grade:

• Only configured jobs can issue documents

• Minimum grades can be set per job

• Admins can manage document templates through the UI

All permissions are handled server-side for security.

⚙️ Configuration

Due to the CFX Escrow system, the script is encrypted.
Customers do not have access to the source code.

You can configure:

• Document inventory item

• Admin permission group

• Allowed jobs and job categories

• Minimum job grades for issuing / managing documents

• Document show distance

• Player animation while using documents

All configuration is done via config.lua.

This script uses two database tables:

• codex_documents — document 

• codex_docs — issued documents

A ready-to-use SQL file is included and must be imported before use.
